Why did you choose this line of work?

"I chose this line of work because as a young boy, I spent nearly every weekend camping in a small county park in Fayette County called Twin Bridges. It was a park where I learned to hunt and fish on the Volga river, to appreciate the outdoors, to find a love for nature and all the wonderful things it has to offer. It was a time for bonding with my parents as well as my brothers and sisters and they are times that will always be close to my heart. While camping at Twin Bridges campground I met several Park Rangers who really seemed to love their jobs, and I thought to myself that would be a great career. They say that if you can find a job that you love doing, you never work a day in your life, and I have been blessed to have that opportunity."

What is your favorite part of your job?

"The thing I like the best about my job is building and constructing things that the public will be able to enjoy for years to come. It gives me a feeling of great pride to finish a construction project and know that people will get enjoyment out of something that was created by myself and the great coworkers that I have been privileged to work with over the years. The other thing I would have to say I enjoy is the public relations portion of my job. There are many wonderful people I have had the pleasure of meeting and developing relationships with over the years who come out to enjoy our park facilities."
