The bridge North of 11629 N.Gear Ave. will be closed beginning Monday, March 3, or soon thereafter, for a bridge deck replacement. This closure will last approximately 5 months depending on the weather.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this causes and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve the road system in Des Moines County.

The kits are available to anyone in Des Moines County who owns a home. Mobile Homes are also encouraged to test, especially if your home has skirting. Measles infection was acquired during international travel. This is the first measles case that has been identified in Iowa in 2026.
