Des Moines County Public Health is offering Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen (J&J) for all individuals interested in getting their primary series or booster doses of the vaccines.
Pfizer
- People 5 years and older for their primary series
- People 18 years and older for their first booster doses - With at least 5 months from the date of the 2nd dose of their primary series of Pfizer or Moderna or 2 months for Janssen (J&J)
- Teens 12-17 years may also get their booster dose of Pfizer only with at least 5 months since their 2nd dose of their primary series
- People 50 years and older for their second booster doses - With at least 4 months from the date of the last booster dose
- People 12 years and older that are considered immunocompromised for their second booster doses - With at least 4 months from the date of the last booster dose
Moderna
- People 18 years and older for their primary series
- People 18 years and older for their first booster dose - With at least 5 months from the date of the 2nd dose of their primary series of Pfizer or Moderna or 2 months for Janssen (J&J)
- People 50 years and older for their second booster doses - With at least 4 months from the date of the last booster dose
- People 18 years and older that are considered immunocompromised for their second booster doses - With at least 4 months from the date of the last booster dose
Janssen(J&J)
- People 18 years and older for their primary series
- People 18 years and older for their booster dose - With at least 2 months from their dose of Janssen (J&J) and 2 months from the date of the 2nd dose of their primary series of Pfizer or Moderna
**Immunocompromise includes solid organ transplantation recipients or those living with conditions that have an equivalent level of immunocompromise
Clinic schedule
Monday: 8:30 to 4 pm, STI Clinic (by appointment or walk-ins welcome)
Tuesday: 8:30 to 4 pm, Immunization Clinic for non-Covid related vaccines, TB appointments 1- 2:30 pm (Appointments recommended but walk-ins welcome)
Wednesday: 12:30 to 4 pm, Covid vaccines for Children ages 5 to 11 years (By appointment or walk-ins welcome)
Thursday: 8:30 to 4 pm, Covid vaccines for individuals 12 years and older
(By appointment or walk-ins welcome)
Friday: 8:30 to 4 pm, STI Clinic (By appointment or walk-ins welcome)

FLU
Flu vaccines are being given during regular immunization clinics on Tuesday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at 522 N Third Street, Burlington, Iowa. The cost is $35. Medicare Part B, Humana, United Healthcare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid MCOs for children and other major insurances will be accepted. Please bring insurance cards with you.
These clinics are public and flu shots are offered to anyone 6 months or older.
