Des Moines County Public Health is currently in the Phase 1B COVID-19 vaccinations. Starting  April 5, 2021,  anyone aged 16 and over is eligible to receive the vaccine. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for administration in persons aged 16 and over. The Moderna and Janssen/J&J vaccines are only authorized in persons aged 18 and over. Anyone under 18 years of age will need a parents consent to receive the vaccine.   Appointments can be scheduled by clicking the link or by calling the scheduling line at  319-208-5668.    Persons need to leave their name, date of birth and a telephone number where they can be reached.

The mission of Des Moines County Public Health is to improve, protect and promote the health, the environment and well being of residents of Des Moines County.

Flu vaccines are being given during regular immunization clinics Tuesday and Thursday 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM at 522 N Third Street, Burlington, Iowa. The cost is $35. Medicare Part B, Humana, United Healthcare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid MCOs for children and other major insurances will be accepted. Please bring insurance cards with you.

These clinics are public and flu shots are offered to anyone 6 months or older.
